Nanoparticles in food are unregulated, widespread and harm cells

This is a real wake-up call. Titanium dioxide, in a class of toxic nanoparticles, “is classified as ‘generally recognized as safe’ by the FDA.” It is in milk and toothpaste to make them look whiter, it coats pills and chewing gum, and it’s in sunscreen.
Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy recently published a study entitled “Effects of Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles in Human Gastric Epithelial Cells in Vitro.” This ground breaking study shows, for the first time, that titanium dioxide is capable of changing human cells. In fact, the whitening agent is able to induce such a pronounced change that tumor-like cells are created.
Previous studies have shown titanium dioxide to be damaging to cells (cytotoxic). This study is the first to show that human cells undergo the change to have cancerous characteristics. These traits include an increase in cell growth and decrease in cell death. Both are clear indicators of precancerous or cancerous cells. – See more at: http://massreport.com/food-industry-poisoning-consumers-with-trillions-of-nanoparticles/#sthash.tLCbjqOB.dpuf
According to the article, the human cells used for this study were cells that line the human gut. To reduce your risk stop buying processed foods; otherwise you are exposed to “100,000 nanoparticles every day”.
